Military Precision

Being a teacher and having been an Army wife for many years I love meeting people and looking after them. I am keen to share my heritage with all guests and to help make their stay with us as memorable as possible.
Having lived in both Germany and Belgium for many years and travelled extensively in Europe I enjoy meeting people from other countries. I speak French and German and a smattering of Dutch and Italian.
In 1994 Ken retired from the Army after 37 years and we came back to my native county. Ken, coming from North Yorkshire, is in my eyes 'nearly a
northerner'! He is a true countryman, enjoying gardening (thank goodness) and birdwatching. With his military precision for planning and timing he makes sure that the business operates efficiently. Ask him what the latest test score is and he is bound to know.
I have a great interest in both the Women's Institute and the Mothers' Union and so advertise in "Home and Country" and "Home and Family". Being a member of the National Trust, we also advertise in their magazine. Whatever events are taking place in the village, whether it be the Church Fete, a Village Hall event or the Churchyard clear up, we are both there doing our bit for the community.
